Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyökeres has been spotted training with Tottenham star Lucas Bergvall.

Bergvall enjoyed a successful debut season in North London, with the Swede establishing himself as a key part of the Tottenham first team.

The 19-year-old will be keen to continue his development under Thomas Frank next season.

And Bergvall has now been spotted preparing for the new campaign by training with fellow Swede Gyökeres, who could soon join his international teammate in North London.

Gyökeres linked with a move to Arsenal

As reported by Portuguese outlet Correio Da Manha (23 June, page 30), Sporting Lisbon are demanding £68.5million for Gyökeres amid interest from Arsenal.

The report reveals that Mikel Arteta wants to sign the striker before the Gunners tour Asia, where they will face AC Milan, Newcastle and then Tottenham.

However, if Gyökeres does head to the Emirates Stadium, it seems as though he will have a friend across enemy lines, as the 27-year-old has been spotted training with Bergvall via Instagram (23 June).

Tottenham should hijack Arsenal's move for Gyökeres

Tottenham should look to sign Gyökeres ahead of Arsenal.

The Lilywhites are in desperate need of reinforcements for their frontline after another disappointing season for Richarlison.

Gyökeres scored 54 goals in 52 appearances last season and narrowly missed out on the European Golden Boot to Kylian Mbappe.

But the Swede is not only known for his elite output. He is also proficient in his link-up and hold-up play.

Therefore, Tottenham should look to bring Gyökeres into the fold to boost their chances in Europe next season, and could use his relationship with Bergvall to their advantage.
