Fikayo Tomori transfer: AC Milan push to seal quickfire Tottenham deal
AC Milan are pushing to sell Fikayo Tomori to Tottenham as they prepare to sign a replacement, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist posted on X (1 February) that with negotiations between Spurs and Tomori continuing over personal terms [Gianluca Di Marzio, 31 January], Milan are keen to “move on”.
Milan have less than three days left to complete the signing of a new centre-back if and when Tomori’s exit to North London is confirmed, and as a result, they’re quickly trying to push his sale through.
AC Milan give green light for Fikayo Tomori Tottenham transfer
Having gone without the help he’s so desperately needed in central defence throughout the entirety of January, Ange Postecoglou looks set to finally get his man in the form of a full England international.
Tomori’s impending switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could prove to be a headline signing for the Lilywhites, given the 27-year-old has been part of a Serie A-dominating defence in recent years.

Defensive solidity and athleticism has been sorely needed in North London in the wake of long-term injuries picked up by Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, the latter of whom is now fit again.
Slotting Tomori – whose lack of England caps is arguably due to him not playing in the Premier League – into the backline alongside Van de Ven could be the key to turning Spurs’ woeful run of form around.
With Milan keen to have the transfer wrapped up as soon as possible at a value north of £20million, Spurs could be on the brink of securing a player who’ll certainly have a point to prove upon his arrival.
