Daniel Levy told ‘to sign Leroy Sane’ as Tottenham statement ready
Tottenham have opened the door to some blockbuster transfers after somehow qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Daniel Levy has a call to make over whether it will be Ange Postecoglou at the helm or someone else, before he jumps into the market.
Once a managerial decision has been made, he will have to be prepared to back whoever is in charge to build upon the 17th-placed Premier League finish this season.
With Champions League football to juggle as well, the Lilywhites certainly need the strength to cope, and Leroy Sane could just solve that problem.

Jamie O’Hara points Tottenham towards Sane
Winning the Europa League and guaranteeing a place in the Champions League does increase the level of players that the Lilywhites are able to target this summer.
Mathys Tel is set to make a permanent move to Tottenham, but the north London outfit are also looking at Bayern Munich teammate Sane.
Sane has done well with Bayern since his move from Manchester City in 2020, but he has reportedly rejected a new contract, suggesting he is set for a Bundesliga exit.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for the winger this summer, and Jamie O’Hara has urged Levy to make it happen immediately.
Writing on X (29 May), the Spurs supporter wrote: “Daniel Levy sign Leroy Sane and make a statement. Big club, big players.”
Sane would be a statement for Tottenham
If Tottenham are serious about moving away from the failure that was this season, this is exactly the type of player that needs to be targeted.
The 29-year-old is someone who would surely only be open to a move where he feels he would be competing at the best levels, so it certainly would be a statement from the Lilywhites.
Sane’s trophies so far |
Premier League x2 |
FA Cup x1 |
EFL Cup x3 |
FA Community Shield x1 |
Bundesliga x4 |
German Super Cup x2 |
UEFA Super Cup x1 |
Club World Cup x1 |
Given the winger’s success so far and the trophies he has won, bringing in a winner is the right type of character to help reform the dressing room at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
If there is interest in this deal, though, Levy has to act fast as there will no doubt be plenty of interested parties this summer hoping to get a deal done.
