Morgan Gibbs-White to ‘join Tottenham in days’ after major new transfer update

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White could potentially be on his way to Tottenham soon this transfer window.

Spurs are now making significant moves, having already agreed a deal for Mohammed Kudus with West Ham United, and have now turned their attention to an England international.

Daniel Levy sacked Ange Postecoglou despite winning the Europa League title and replaced him with ex-Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who is now arguably being backed.

Tottenham open talks with Forest for Gibbs-White transfer over minimum £60m transfer

Tottenham have opened talks with Forest for Gibbs-White, according to Sami Mokbel.

The BBC Sport journalist revealed on X (10 July) that the North London outfit have started formal talks for the 25-year-old midfielder, with a minimum £60million fee being suggested.

It’s been claimed that the transfer is accelerating quickly, and it looks like the Englishman could potentially be joining Spurs within days if they can agree on a deal with the Tricky Trees.

Postecoglou will rightly be asking questions about Levy if Tottenham pull off the signings of Kudus and Gibbs-White.

Dominic Solanke was arguably the only marquee addition to the North London outfit’s squad last summer, with money being spent on prospects like Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert.

The Australian manager undoubtedly lacked depth in his squad as he was forced to play the former Leeds United youngster as a centre-back and had to rely on the Swedish midfielder due to multiple fitness issues in the engine room.

Levy now seems to be more willing to loosen his purse strings at Tottenham, and Postecoglou may wonder why that didn’t happen during his tenure.

Frank to be delighted with Kudus and Gibbs-White transfer at Tottenham

Kudus’ arrival at Spurs will give Frank a significant boost in his attacking options, with Bryan Mbeumo seemingly preferring a move to Manchester United.

Gibbs-White would certainly be another brilliant addition to the North London outfit’s squad after an impressive season at Forest, who finished seventh in the Premier League.

Tottenham may be able to entice the Englishman to N17 with the prospect of playing in the Champions League.

Supporters have high hopes for the Danish manager, and he could potentially work wonders if Spurs pull off the 25-year-old’s signing.
