Tottenham double sacking on cards even if Premier League survival secured
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to dismiss two senior figures in the summer.
Spurs are sitting 17th in the Premier League, two points above the relegation zone, with clashes with Chelsea and Everton to play.
That is simply unacceptable, and while Roberto De Zerbi‘s side will essentially be safe with a draw against the Blues, somebody needs to pay.
It could be the manager, but that would be extremely harsh given that he has not had much time in the dugout.
Tottenham fans likely want that to be Johan Lange or Vinai Venkatesham, as they are deemed responsible for the bad decisions that have got the Lilywhites to this point.

Who could face Tottenham sack?
John Wenham revealed that he has not heard anything about Tottenham’s plans for Venkatesham or Lange, but anticipates a double sacking.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “There’s no further update on that, and I don’t think we’ll get anything until the end of the season, but I get the impression that should Tottenham survive, they’ll act pretty quickly on that front, because the ownership group will need somebody to take the blame for what’s happened this season.

“They’re the easy targets, is the reality,
“That’s it, they’re the fall guys, they’ll say, look, these guys made the mistakes, they were involved in hiring Thomas Frank with Daniel Levy, who’s obviously gone, so we’re going to remove these guys and take it from there.
“It may be that only one of them gets sacked, but I can basically guarantee that one of them will go, because there needs to be a fall guy for what’s happened this season.”
Why one of the Tottenham duo needs to go
Tottenham need to dismiss at least one of Lange or Venkatesham from their posts, otherwise, supporters will be furious.
The duo were supposed to step up and lead the N17 club out of the Levy era, into a new positive one, and that just has not happened.

As Wenham states, they were part of the process that brought Frank into the dugout, and they are also partly responsible for the wider recruitment issues that could see Spurs go down and lose £245m in revenue.
Something needs to change, heads need to roll, and Lange or Venkatesham are obvious candidates, to try and get the fanbase back on board.
