Tom Holland to Adele – Tottenham’s top five celebrity fans

Tottenham have built a following of some pretty well-known faces over the years.

Tottenham’s Europa League triumph brought some new fans to Hotspur Way and solidified some older ones.

It is hoped that the dismissal of Daniel Levy as Spurs chairman and the Lewis family’s prioritisation of Tottenham’s sporting results will help the Lilywhites explode in more ways for now.

But for a club founded 142 years ago, its fan and celebrity fan following does not come as a surprise. Here, Tottenham News puts together a list of their top five celebrity supporters.

While Cristian Romero is a player the Hollywood star has always admired. “I’ve always thought [Cristian] Romero was absolutely mustard,” he beamed. “So it is nice to see him peaking and doing really well.”

Michael McIntyre

Comedian Michael McIntyre is a long-standing Spurs supporter and has made his love for the club known over the years.

His support for the North London club can be traced to 2010 and beyond, when he sat down with Spurs TV Online in November that same year, to discuss Tottenham’s 3-1 over Arsenal the season prior, as well as his participation in the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Charity Wristband campaign at the time.

He said: “Every time I come here, I supply Harry with the information to beat the opposition, and this time it was quite simple – give it to Gareth Bale!”

More recently, McIntyre was spotted hyping Spurs supporters in their 2023/24 Carabao Cup game against Fulham.

He said: “My dad used to live in Tottenham, and a lot of my Caribbean family support Spurs. My mum is Welsh, so her team is Cardiff, but her English team is Tottenham, probably because of my dad.

“That’s how I started supporting them. You know the purple Pony shirt? That was my first proper kit. When I got that, I was gassed.”

Since he has performed at Spurs’ 2019 Nike kit launch. He has also been spotted in the dressing rooms and has even taken a couple of pictures with the players.
