Everything Tottenham fans need to know about Fabio Paratici – From FIFA ban to North London return
Tottenham have confirmed the return of Fabio Paratici after over two years away from the club.
The Lilywhites’ former managing director of football has been out in the wilderness since his first stint in N17 drew to a close, but he is now back as a key player at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Paratici has been linked with a Tottenham return for several weeks, but it has finally now been announced and confirmed.
Daniel Levy’s departure has sparked plenty of change at Spurs of late, but the move to bring Paratici back in sees the return of a familiar face for many of the fanbase.

Fabio Paratici’s new role at Tottenham
Paratici completed some impressive transfer business at Tottenham during his first stint in their boardroom, and they will be hoping to see a repeat of that this time around.
The North London outfit confirmed his arrival on their official website, where they also explained the restructure that has taken place as a result.
Paratici’s arrival has coincided with a promotion for Johan Lange, and the pair will now work together as co-sporting directors.

The duo will oversee a vast array of departments at the club, from player pathways to recruitment, and much more.

Paratici’s career so far
Paratici’s first stint at Tottenham was likely the first time that many English fans had heard of the transfer chief, but his career in football has stretched far beyond that one particular spell.
The 53-year-old enjoyed a playing career in the Italian lower leagues and had spells with the likes of Sassuolo and Palermo during the late 1990s.
He retired in 2004 and quickly took up a role as the head of scouting for Sampdoria, one of Italy’s most historic and iconic clubs.
From there, he moved to Juventus, where he spent 11 years working as their sporting director before his move to Spurs in June 2021.

Paratici’s most notable signings for Spurs include the likes of club captain Cristian Romero, and the influential Dejan Kulusevski.
Paratici has just returned from a FIFA ban
Perhaps the most notable part of Paratici’s career so far was the FIFA ban that resulted in his decision to step down from his previous role at Spurs.
The Italian was handed a 30-month worldwide ban from football by FIFA back in 2023, as he was punished for his role in financial irregularities that had taken place during his time at Juventus.
He has been out of football for over two-and-a-half years since that restriction was imposed, although he has been assisting Tottenham in an unofficial consultancy role of late.
However, he is now back for good, and his return is certainly an exciting development for Spurs and their fans, given the success that he enjoyed there previously.
