View: Tottenham handed ideal opportunity to sign £51m Harry Kane replacement after transfer news
Tottenham can expect a very busy summer when it comes to incomings and outgoings, with new manager Ange Postecoglou needing to put his foot down early doors in order to build his squad for the new campaign.
He will bring a fresh outlook to things in North London, but one issue that won’t change for quite some time is the uncertainty regarding the future of Harry Kane.
The star striker looks certain to continue to be the centre of attention in the summer transfer window, with nobody really sure where he will be playing his football next season.

Postecoglou will want Kane’s future to be resolved as soon as possible, with another season in the white of Tottenham the ideal scenario.
Manchester United are in the market for a striker this summer and their number one target is Kane, but Tottenham do not want to sell him, according to Sky Sports.
But if indeed the Red Devils get their way, the former Celtic boss will need a new striker in the door sooner rather than later.
And Postecoglou has now been handed the perfect replacement, with CBS journalist Ben Jacobs claiming that Lille expect to sell star striker Jonathan David this summer, with Tottenham having previously looked at the Canada international.
“Lille expect to sell Jonathan David this summer,” Jacobs wrote on Twitter. “They are looking for around €60m (£51m). David would love a move to the Premier League.
“PSG and Napoli tracking David. If Osimhen is sold, latter would be very keen. Spurs intent on keeping Kane, but another club that have looked at David before. After CONCACAF Nations League Final, David will start to seriously explore his options.”
Kane and David had similar campaigns, with the former banging in 32 goals in all competitions this season as the latter hit 26.
David netted 24 of his goals in Ligue 1, with only PSG icon Kylian Mbappe (29) and Lyon ace Alexandre Lacazette (27) scoring more, as per BBC Sport.
The Lille ace also registered four assists, and proved his versatility by operating at centre-forward, right-wing, left-wing and attacking midfield throughout the season.
In a major boost to Postecoglou, 24 of David’s 26 goals came in centre-forward, but the attacker also netted two goals from his two matches at right-wing, as per Transfermarkt.
Such versatility is hard to come by in the modern game, and would provide the new manager with a very exciting option if he was to lose Kane this summer.
In other Tottenham news, one Manchester United struggler has been backed to rediscover his Borussia Dortmund form with a move to North London.
