View: Tottenham ace Micky van de Ven continues stellar form with Netherlands cameo v Greece
Micky van de Ven has made a superb start to life at Tottenham Hotspur following his summer transfer from Wolfsburg.
The young defender has wasted no time at all in settling into the Premier League, with the 22-year-old a regular under Ange Postecoglou.
The centre-back has featured in all eight of his club’s Premier League matches this season, as well as playing in their EFL Cup loss to London rivals Fulham.

Postecoglou will be delighted then that the youngster hasn’t quite landed himself a starting role for his national team, with van de Ven behind the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Nathan Ake in the pecking order at this moment in time.
He did, however, appear from the bench in his nation’s two matches over the international break against France and Greece on Friday (13 October) and Monday (16 October) respectively.
The centre-back was handed 10 minutes in the former, before playing 16 minutes in the latter, where he produced an impressive cameo.
As per Sofascore, van de Ven registered a pass success rate of 90 per cent, as well as winning three of his four ground duels.
Moreover, he made two tackles, with no Netherlands player making more, despite his brief time on the pitch. Only Greece forward Fotis Ioannidis (four) made more in Athens – and he played the entire match.
The Tottenham ace also chipped in with one clearance. It wasn’t, however, a perfect appearance from the bench, with the 22-year-old making an error that led to a shot.
That shot ultimately led to nothing, with van de Ven’s fellow centre-back Van Dijk the hero as he netted a 93rd-minute penalty to secure a 1-0 win for the visitors.
