View: James Maddison already joins Tottenham folklore as August figures secure Premier League award
James Maddison has enjoyed a superb start to his Tottenham career, with the midfielder immediately taking to life in North London.
A somewhat smooth transition was perhaps expected given his displays for previous club Leicester City before their relegation from the Premier League.
But Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou will be delighted at how quickly the England ace has settled into his new surroundings.

In his first month at the club, Maddison registered a goal and two assists as Tottenham drew with Brentford and defeated both Manchester United and Bournemouth.
Such form has now been recognised, with the player named August’s Premier League Player of the Month, as per the official Tottenham website.
The midfielder was nominated for the award on four occasions during his time with the Foxes but has now won it at the first time of asking at his new club.

As per SofaScore, the 26-year-old was the highest-rated player in the matches against both Brentford and Bournemouth, with ratings of 8.2 in each of the two games.
To go with his two important assists against the Bees, he had a passing accuracy of 89 per cent, with six of his passes being key.
And against the Cherries, along with his goal, the England international boasted a passing accuracy of 91 per cent, was accurate with two of his three long balls, and seven of his 12 ground duels.

He joins the likes of club legends Robbie Keane, Gareth Bale, Jermain Defoe and Harry Kane among others in clinching the honour.
It was a superb first month at Tottenham for the talented playmaker, who will be desperate to continue his fine run of form in September, with huge matches against Arsenal and Liverpool incoming this month.
In other Tottenham news, a former Spurs star believes the “sky is the limit” for summer signing Brennan Johnson.
