View: Ange Postecoglou could provide Joao Felix with fresh start, can bolster Tottenham attack
Regardless of what happens to star striker Harry Kane this summer, Tottenham are in need of attacking reinforcements.
And the latest report from 90min (12 July) claims that one forward they are targeting is Atletico Madrid ace Joao Felix, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea.
Ange Postecoglou could now hand the 23-year-old a chance to stay in London for another campaign, and it certainly wouldn’t be the worst decision he would make this summer.

Given the forward’s recent downward decline, bringing Felix to Tottenham would definitely be a risk, but given his potential, it could pay off in the long run.
As a youngster, the attacker banged in 20 goals in 43 Benfica appearances, with that form earning him a big-money move to Spanish giants Atletico.
It hasn’t quite worked out for the Portugal international since then, with Felix registering 34 goals from his 131 matches for the La Liga club.
In the most recent campaign while at both Atletico and Chelsea, the forward managed just nine goals and three assists, with his versatility perhaps catching the eye more than his goal-creating abilities.

Felix was utilised at left wing, attacking midfield, centre-forward and as a second striker throughout the season, with that versatility certain to be of use to Postecoglou should he make a move for the 23-year-old.
The forward did manage to shake his demons on occasion at Chelsea, with his Man-of-the-Match display against West Ham in February perhaps the highlight of his brief spell in England.
As per SofaScore, Felix won eight of his 13 ground duels, completed 83% of his passes, made two tackles and scored his club’s only goal in a superb all-round performance in the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
His Atletico future remains up in the air, and Postecoglou could definitely provide the player with a fresh start by bringing him back to the Premier League.
In other Tottenham news, the club should pick Edmond Tapsoba over Micky van de Ven as their statistics are revealed amid a Fabrizio Romano update.
