Manor Solomon faces another Tottenham setback as surgery update emerges on Wednesday
Tottenham supporters will be starting to wonder if Manor Solomon will play for the club again this season.
Solomon will be as frustrated as anyone about the lack of impact he has been able to make during his debut season in North London.
Spurs signed the winger last summer, although he has not been seen in Tottenham colours since his cameo appearance in the 2-1 win over Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium almost six months ago (30 September 2023).
Shortly after that victory, it was revealed that the 24-year-old was set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a knee issue (via BBC Sport, 6 October).
A few months later, Matt Law reported via the Daily Telegraph (18 January), that Solomon was targeting a return for Spurs’ FA Cup fourth-round clash against Manchester City (26 January).
However, almost two months have now passed since that clash and Solomon is still nowhere to be seen, with Spurs now confirming via their official website (20 March) that the forward underwent another surgery to the meniscus on his right knee on Tuesday (19 March).
He will now continue his rehabilitation with Tottenham’s medical staff, which throws into doubt the chances of him featuring for Ange Postecoglou again this season.

Spurs find themselves in a competitive battle as they look to secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
With competition fierce from Aston Villa and Manchester United, Postecoglou will need all the help that he can get, and Solomon certainly would have been a big help.
Before his injury, the Israel international was contributing well for his new club.
In the victory over Liverpool, Solomon stepped off the bench and completed 100 per cent of his passes, with three of those being key, won two of his three ground duels and made one successful dribble (Sofascore), despite being on the pitch for less than half an hour.
During what would prove to be just one of two league starts this season, Solomon terrorised the Burnley backline as Spurs left Turf Moor with all three points after a 5-2 victory (2 September).
He provided two assists, both for Son Heung-min, completed 91 per cent of his passes, with five of those key, made three successful dribbles and won five of his seven ground duels.
Solomon was rewarded for this performance with a start against Sheffield United in a 2-1 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (16 September), and although he couldn’t provide any assists that day, he still managed to complete four key passes and four successful dribbles.
After Timo Werner’s cameo performance in Spurs’ 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage (16 March), Postecoglou will be wishing he had a player like Solomon he could call upon from the bench.
Werner completed just 67 per cent of his passes and missed one big chance during what proved to be an underwhelming evening against Marco Silva’s side.
After Solomon’s latest injury setback, Postecoglou will need his other players to step up between now and May.
