Everton v Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou needs to axe Son Heung-min at half-time

Ange Postecoglou would be wise to replace Tottenham forward Son Heung-min at half-time against Everton on Sunday.

Postecoglou is expected to be sacked if Spurs don’t win the Premier League clash at Goodison Park on 19 January.

Therefore, it looks as though the Australian could be in trouble with the Toffees 3-0 up at half-time after goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and an Archie Gray own goal.

Spurs have hardly laid a glove on the hosts. As a result, it is clear that Postecoglou needs to make changes, and Son is the player who must make way.

Son was targeted by Everton fans at Goodison Park on Sunday.

And it appears as though his treatment from the home faithful might have impacted his performance, with the 32-year-old nowhere to be seen on Merseyside.

As per Sofascore, Son missed one big chance and managed just 19 touches of the ball overall. In addition, he completed just 78 per cent of his passes, with none of those key.

Zero per cent of his crosses into the box were inaccurate while he also lost all three of his ground duels.

It looks like an incredibly long way back for Spurs now. However, if Son does stay on, their slim chances of making a comeback will be reduced even further.
