Ange Postecoglou must drag Timo Werner off at half-time in Tottenham v Rangers
Ange Postecoglou would be wise to replace Tottenham forward Timo Werner at half-time in the UEFA Europa League against Rangers.
Postecoglou arrived at Ibrox on 12 December under immense pressure, with Daniel Levy expected to make a decision on the Australian’s future within days.
Therefore, he would have been desperate for his team to make a fast start in Glasgow, something which was perhaps made less likely after a surprising team selection decision. However, it was the hosts who looked the more likely in the opening half an hour.
Spurs struggled to carry any threat in the final third, failing to trouble Jack Butland throughout the opening 45 minutes, and Postecoglou would therefore be wise to change things around in the forward areas at the break.
Ange Postecoglou must axe Tottenham forward Timo Werner at half-time v Rangers
Werner has once again failed to make any impact for Tottenham.
As per Sofascore, the winger has completed just 68 per cent of his passes, with both of his crosses into the box inaccurate. In addition, he has managed just one shot which was off target, while zero per cent of his dribble attempts were successful.
He has given possession away 16 times and defensively been just as poor, losing all five of his ground duels and being dribbled past once.

Therefore, if Postecoglou wants to get a result in Scotland and start to turn things around at Tottenham, he should consider moving Son to the left in the second half and replacing Werner with Dominic Solanke.
In other Tottenham news, Levy has been told to sack Postecoglou now and hire a “brilliant” manager.
