Tottenham Women star Celin Bizet continues to improve under Robert Vilahamn
Tottenham Women’s star Celin Bizet has already scored twice as many goals in the FA Women’s Super League this season as she did throughout the entire 2022/23 campaign.
Tottenham have made big improvements throughout the 2023/24 season under Robert Vilahamn.
After a season spent battling relegation, the North London club have much higher aspirations this time around as they look to crack the WSL’s top five.
However, they missed a golden opportunity to move above Liverpool Women and into the top five as the two sides drew 1-1 on Sunday 4 February at Prenton Park.
Bizet’s strike in the 71st minute looked as if it would be enough to secure all three points, but second-half substitute Marie Hobinger equalised for the hosts with a matter of moments left on the clock.
It leaves Spurs sixth, level with the Reds on 19 points, behind only on goal difference.
A Tottenham star is born
In her debut season in England, Bizet managed just two goals and one assist across her 22 appearances in the WSL.
This season the 22-year-old already has four goals and one assist after just 13 matches, and she appears to be one of many players benefiting from Vilahamn’s arrival at Hotspur Way.
Bizet has come up with some big goals for Tottenham this season, and impressed once again against Liverpool on Sunday.
As per Sofascore, the right-midfielder completed 84 per cent of her passes, with two of those passes key, in addition to her second-half strike. As well as this, she managed to complete two successful dribbles from the four which she attempted.
Vilahamn would have been just as impressed with Bizet’s defensive contributions as he was with her quality going forward.

Bizet made four tackles and four interceptions while she also won six of her 13 ground duels.
It was another lively display for the youngster, who grabbed an impressive solo goal against Liverpool the last time these two sides met at Brisbane Road on Sunday 12 November, with the score that day also ending 1-1.
With Bizet still only 22 years old, Tottenham could have a real star on their hands for the future.
In other Tottenham news, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King is “not convinced” by one player at the club despite his recent impressive form.
