Beth England back to her best at just the right time for Tottenham Women and Robert Vilahamn
Beth England has found some form again at the perfect time for Tottenham Women and Robert Vilahamn.
It has been a difficult, injury-hit season for England.
After joining Tottenham midway through the 2022/23 campaign, the striker flourished and finished as the club’s top scorer, finding the back of the net 13 times in her 13 WSL appearances.
However, after being named club captain by Vilahamn, England spent the majority of the first half of the 2023/24 season on the sidelines.
She has struggled since her return to action, with goals a rarity for the England international after her free-flowing goalscoring form last season.
Although, it appears that England has found her shooting boots again at just the right time with Spurs’ next game arguably the biggest in the club’s history, as they prepare to host Leicester City Women at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (14 April ) with a place in the Adobe FA Women’s Cup final at stake.

England’s first WSL goal of the season was the difference on Sunday (24 March) as Spurs beat the Robins 1-0 at Ashton Gate.
It marked back-to-back WSL victories and clean sheets for Vilahamn’s side as they continue to find some form at the perfect time ahead of their first-ever FA Cup semi-final appearance.
And based on the way England played, she could be key in firing her side to Wembley.
As per Sofascore, in addition to the 29-year-old’s goal, she also played four key passes, created one big chance and completed 76 per cent of her passes overall.

In addition, England won 100 per cent of her aerial duels and had two shots on target, with her first finding the back of the net after just two minutes.
England will be full of confidence and looks back to her best ahead of the visit of Leicester for a huge showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
