Yves Bissouma to fear Tottenham future after latest Man United transfer update

Tottenham could beat Manchester United to a signing which could leave Yves Bissouma on the chopping block.

The 28-year-old has been in and out of the Spurs side so far this campaign as Ange Postecoglou seeks out a winning formula in North London.

The Australian has come under pressure from supporters and now faces a must-win clash against Wolves on 29 November to try and save his future.

If the ex-Celtic boss can secure three points, he can look ahead to the January transfer window where a change could be made in the midfield.

The N17 club are interested in bringing Angel Gomes in from Lille after a stellar year which has seen him feature for England under Lee Carsley.

If Spurs are to beat the Red Devils to the signing of the Ligue 1 star, it is likely that he will have been given certain first-team assurances.

The former Boavista loanee is unlikely to move on from the French side without the prospect of regular minutes at his new side.

If Postecoglou is to offer this to Gomes then Bissouma would be negatively affected as the Englishman would arguably take up his box-to-box midfield role.

This could leave the Mali international looking for a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and in search of a starting role elsewhere.

In other Tottenham news, talks have opened to try and sign Everton ace Jarrad Branthwaite in a blockbuster deal.
