‘Yves Bissouma exit inevitable’ amid Tottenham transfer update
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is surely facing an uncertain future at Tottenham this summer.
The 28-year-old has completed his third season in North London but has largely struggled to reach the same levels in his performances as he did during his time with Brighton and Hove Albion.
He performed admirably in the Europa League final, in what was predominantly a rearguard effort by Tottenham, but unfortunately, displays akin to that have been few and far between throughout the campaign.

Angel Gomes signing would push Bissouma out of the door
Tottenham are now said to be chasing England midfielder Angel Gomes, and if that deal ends up going through, then it surely spells the end for Bissouma’s time with the Lilywhites.
Spurs desperately need additions to strengthen the squad this summer after what has been a dismal Premier League campaign for the N17 side.
Ange Postecoglou’s men have been ravaged by injuries from start to finish, but have still fallen significantly short of what can be expected of a club of their size.
The Australian boss is in danger of losing his job, despite their European exploits and needs new signings to help turn the tide around at the start of next season.
Gomes is currently being heavily linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and it is understood that Spurs have tabled a contract offer for the 24-year-old, who is out of contract at French outfit Lille this summer.
There is growing confidence at Tottenham that their offer may be accepted by the former Manchester United man, as revealed by Ben Jacobs on the Last Word on Spurs podcast (1 June).
That would surely force Bissouma towards the exit at the club, with the Mali international likely to fall further down the pecking order.

Gomes would be a stylistic change from Bissouma
If Tottenham end up sealing the signing of Gomes, then it would represent more of a stylistic switch than a like-for-like upgrade on Bissouma.
Spurs are undoubtedly in need of creative reinforcements after Son Heung-min’s struggles and James Maddison’s injury woes, which would make the option to bring in Gomes a no-brainer if that move materialises.
The fact that the 24-year-old is available on a free transfer makes him an even more attractive proposition, and one that the Lilywhites can’t really afford to turn down.
If Gomes were to join this summer, it would surely bring a reshuffle in the midfield areas.
Bissouma has fallen short of expectations with his performances this term, meaning Daniel Levy will surely be happy to take an opportunity to move him on, if it were to present itself.
That would also open the door for Pape Sarr to drop deeper into his preferred role at the base of the midfield, having been forced to deputise higher up the pitch on occasion.
The Senegal international has endured a far-from-perfect season in his own right, but is six years younger than Bissouma, making him a much more promising long-term option.
Bissouma will always be remembered for his role in Spurs’ Europa League final victory, but if Gomes arrives, then it seems inevitable that he will move elsewhere.
