Tottenham to sell Son-Heung Min: Three players who could leave Spurs within weeks
Tottenham have failed miserably this season, and it could lead to sweeping changes in the summer.
The Lilywhites sit 13th in the Premier League, having been knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup in recent weeks.
Ange Postecoglou’s men face AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday (13 March), with a 1-0 deficit to overcome to reach the quarter-finals.
Postecoglou, if he remains in charge, and Levy will likely see the summer as a chance to recover and restart, forgetting what has happened this season.
With that in mind, Spurs could look to cash in on some big names as they possibly start a new era.

Tottenham need to escape injury crisis
One thing that has really slowed Tottenham this season is their injury crisis, which isn’t solely to blame but has certainly limited Spurs at times.
With that in mind, Spurs may look to offload Cristian Romero in the summer transfer window.
The defender has made just 13 Premier League appearances this term having spent the remainder of the time missing out through injury.
Tottenham signed Kevin Danso late in the winter transfer window to strengthen at the back, although he has not had the desired effect, leaving Spurs still searching.
Marc Guehi was on Tottenham’s radar during the winter window and Postecoglou’s side are expected to revisit this in the summer.
Securing the services of Guehi could be a great move for Tottenham but offloading Romero could be the key to financing the move.
Romero is attracting interest himself, meaning Spurs need to judge how this would benefit their long-term aims, with his exit welcomed by some angry fans already.
Daniel Levy can save on wages
Daniel Levy is a savvy businessman and he will not be keen to continue throwing money away on players who are unable to have the desired effect.
When James Maddison made the move to North London, he was seen as an exciting prospect that could add quality to the squad and while he has shown glimpses of that, he has not been able to perform consistently.
This season, the 28-year-old has made 26 appearances, scoring nine goals and contributing five assists, but there is still a feeling that he goes missing too often, something Roy Keane has been outspoken about.
Maddison remains under contract, so there is not an immediate threat of losing him for nothing, but given he is one of the highest earners, there has to be a consideration of whether he is worth the money being spent.
Gary Lineker has speculated about a fallout with Postecoglou, and as Spurs look to rejuvenate the squad, it could be time to move these players on who have become too comfortable.

Tottenham have to mark a new era
Captain Son Heung-min has shown incredible commitment to Tottenham over his time with the club and remains a fan favourite.
However, this season the 32-year-old has seen his levels drop and performed below what is expected on too many occasions.
In 25 Premier League appearances this season, the forward has contributed seven goals and nine assists, but if you compare that to his previous campaigns, it’s clear to see he is not playing at the same level.
Season | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 7 | 9 |
2023/24 | 17 | 10 |
2022/23 | 10 | 6 |
Son is another of Tottenham’s highest earners and whether he is bringing enough quality to the team to justify his cost at this stage, is questionable.
Spurs supporters will no doubt remain fond of him as a person, but it could be time for both parties to move on to something new now.
