Tottenham have perfect chance to hire Jurgen Klopp as shock Red Bull news emerges

Jurgen Klopp could make a sensational return to English football with Tottenham.

The legendary Liverpool boss left Anfield at the end of the 2023-24 campaign after nine years in the dugout on Merseyside.

He was appointed as the Red Bull group’s Head of Global Soccer in January 2025 but Spurs may have the perfect opportunity to hire the German after a new update.

Klopp discontent emerges at Red Bull

With the pressure surrounding Ange Postecoglou’s future not reducing anytime soon, he may be out of a job by the end of the season.

Daniel Levy may find himself in the market for a replacement sooner rather than later and the latest update on Klopp’s employment may encourage him to sack the beleaguered former Celtic man.

A report from Brazilian outlet UOL, as translated by Liverpool News, (16 April) claims that Klopp is unhappy in his role at Red Bull despite starting less than a year ago.

That could open the door for Spurs to make their move and convince the former Borussia Dortmund manager to take on a new challenge.

Tottenham should go all out to hire Klopp

The Anfield outfit were languishing in 10th place in the Premier League when Klopp was hired in October 2015.

The German transformed the Reds into Champions League and Premier League winners, beating Spurs in the final of the former competition.

Klopp brought significant success to Liverpool.

He could have the same effect in North London, if he fancies the challenge, but it is unlikely given that the ex-Mainz boss admitted that he would never manage another club in England out of respect for the Merseysiders.

However, Levy may aswell try to tempt Klopp, if he somehow makes a spectacular U-turn it would be a major coup for the Lilywhites.

There may never be a better chance for the German to join the N17 outfit and there is no harm in trying to get a world-class manager through the door.

If it doesn’t work out, then at least Levy tried and he can move on to other targets but if it did, it would likely completely transform the under-fire owner’s reputation amongst the fanbase.
