Tottenham have ‘no other option’ as Richarlison transfer update emerges

Richarlison will surely leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international has featured for Spurs just 80 times since moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July 2022.

This season, he has made just nine Premier League appearances and notched two goals and one assist in a disappointing injured-ravaged campaign.

Richarlison set to leave Tottenham

Everton are interested in bringing Richarlison back to Goodison Park if the Brazilian is willing to make a return, according to Graeme Bailey.

The report (5 March) clams that the Blues hold the player in high regard and the door is open for a move with the Friedkin Group set to back David Moyes in the transfer market.

It states that Spurs are open to allowing the 27-year-old to leave in the summer despite him having two years left on his contract.

Tottenham must sanction Richarlison sale

If the Lilywhites can recoup any fee similar to the £60million that they paid for the attacker, they should take it.

With Everton willing to buy the Brazilian, Spurs must sanction a sale and use the money to replace the underwhelming star with a more regularly available player.

Richarlison has scored just 18 goals and notched nine assists in his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so his return has not been worth the investment so far and it is not likely to improve.

Given his age and injury problems, it is unlikely that he fulfils his potential in North London, therefore, a move may suit both parties if the finances are right.

The player can get on with his football at a club where he is beloved and the N17 outfit can replace him with a better player that can be more useful for Ange Postecoglou‘s side.

Spurs will be looking to return to the Champions League after a miserable season and questions remain whether the former Blues star is at that level.

He has not shown anything to suggest that so far at Hotspur Way, so should be moved on if a suitable offer arrives.
