Tottenham fans will be raging with Fabio Paratici after what he’s just said about his exit

Fabio Paratici has finally completed his Tottenham exit but supporters will be less than impressed with what he’s just said.

Paratici’s switch to Fiorentina was confirmed back in January, and the move has now been finalised following the conclusion of the winter transfer window.

The Italian only returned to Spurs last October when his 30-month FIFA ban expired, after originally leaving in 2023.

Tottenham are now searching for Paratici’s replacement, as they intend to continue with their model of having two sporting directors.

Fabio Paratici sends final message to Tottenham

Paratici’s decision to leave Tottenham so soon after his return shocked many, especially given the faith that the North London had shown in him throughout his ban.

The sporting director has insisted that there has been no falling out within the hierarchy, and he simply wants to return to Italy to continue his career.

In fact, as reported by The Athletic, Paratici didn’t even need convincing to join Fiorentina, and instead had to persuade former owner Rocco Commisso to take him on.

Commisso passed away back in January, after Paratici had already agreed his move to the Italian club.

Paratici also sent a final message of gratitude to Tottenham upon his unveiling at Fiorentina, thanking them for the way they have handled his exit.

He said: “I’d like to thank Tottenham, my former club, for the opportunity they granted me to join Fiorentina, return to Italy and the opportunity to spend five wonderful years in the Premier League.”

Tottenham fans will feel betrayed by Fabio Paratici

Paratici left Tottenham back in April 2023 after being banned by FIFA for financial irregularities during his time at Juventus.

The Lilywhites stood by the Italian throughout his two-and-a-half year suspension, and immediately welcomed him back as soon as he was allowed to return to football.

However, it is now clear that Paratici pushed through his exit, even having to convince the Fiorentina chairman to take him on.

It is a big slap in the face for Tottenham, given the loyalty they showed to Paratici, and Spurs fans will surely be furious with how the Italian has handled himself.
