Renato Veiga is the exact type of player that Tottenham Hotspur should be looking to sign during the summer transfer window.

While Europa League success might paper over some of the cracks at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it is clear to see that there is a lot of work to be done over the summer months.

Strong in the air and commanding in a tackle, he has the potential to fill the hole that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg left behind, which was never filled.

He has proven his ability for Portugal and Juventus to be a strong defender, but he’s also versatile enough to be an option in midfield, which would bolster Postecoglou’s squad depth issues.
