The alarming Tottenham stat that highlights mental weakness, it’s leading to relegation
Tottenham have picked up just three points in the second half of the current season.
Spurs have been dragged into a relegation battle after a dismal period under Thomas Frank and the recent form under Igor Tudor.
Tottenham are winless since December 2025, and are showing no signs of a resurgence any time soon.
Tudor lost his third game in a row on Thursday, as his side fell to a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace.
When the going has got tough this season, Spurs simply have not shown up, highlighting just how mentally weak the current group are at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham stat compared to rivals is incredibly worrying
No side in the Premier League has picked up fewer points than Tottenham in 2026, with Burnley’s tally of seven being the closest to the three of Spurs.
After finishing 2025 with a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, they started the year with an awful run that leads to now, where they fell to a 3-1 defeat against the same opposition.
As things really started to turn under Frank, players’ heads continued to drop, with the squad now seemingly uncoachable for Tudor if his first three matches are taken into account.
Even more worrying for Spurs is the fact that all of the sides down the bottom have been picking up points.
Even bottom dwellers Wolves have picked up 12 points this calendar year, while West Ham have continued to flourish since their 2-1 win against Tottenham in January – picking up 14 since the start of the season’s second half.
At the moment, the Lilywhites cannot buy a win, and even on occasions where points have been on the table, they have collapsed relatively easily.
Tottenham squad is proving difficult for Igor Tudor
Croatian Tudor arrived with a reputation as a firefighter given his work at other clubs, including his job at Juventus last season, when he guided the Old Lady to a Champions League spot after a poor period under Thiago Motta.
The squad he has inherited in North London, though, is simply not responding.
Players are making silly mistakes, while questions surrounding their attitude continue to resurface, particularly following Micky Van de Ven’s red card against Crystal Palace.
And the trouble lies within this. Multiple members of this Spurs squad have received praise throughout their time at the club for their ability.
However, when push comes to shove, players know that they will soon be out of the door this summer, whether Tottenham are relegated or not.
There is a huge disconnect. The current predicament does not carry the same implications for the players as it does the staff behind the scenes, or the supporters in the stadium.
When things have got tough this season, Tottenham’s squad have proven mentally weak, and their lack of points since the turn of the year only shows that.
