Richarlison and Frank’s forgotten man – Three stars Tottenham may sell before transfer deadline
Tottenham are midway through a hugely busy summer after the appointment of Thomas Frank.
The Dane will be keen to establish a visible change from the previous Ange Postecoglou era, and part of that alteration will come through a series of changes within the squad.
Daniel Levy has come close to handing Frank a big-money addition on several occasions, but with the squad fairly heavy in terms of depth, sales will also be needed before the new Premier League campaign gets underway.
With that in mind, Tottenham News picks out three stars who could be in line to exit N17 before the 1 September transfer deadline.

Richarlison
Richarlison’s Tottenham future has been up in their air all summer, as Palmeiras have been continually linked with a move to take the striker back to his homeland.
The Brazilian has failed to make any sort of sustained impact in the three years since his move from Everton, and he has often cut a frustrated figure in North London.
Club | Apps | Goals per 90 |
Watford | 38 | 0.16 |
Everton | 135 | 0.35 |
Tottenham | 70 | 0.48 |
Frank is keen to add another option to lead the line this summer, having previously targeted both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa. Spurs have now turned their attention towards Aleksandar Mitrovic, and an imminent arrival would surely spell the end for the former Everton star.
He and Dominic Solanke both had poor seasons last time out, but with the Englishman just one year into his stint at Spurs, Richarlison will be the likely fall guy.

Yves Bissouma
Spurs are making steady progress in their bid to sign Joao Palhinha, and if they can conclude a deal to bring the former Fulham man back to the Premier League, that could have serious implications for Bissouma.
The former Brighton man has been linked with a potential departure for several weeks now, but Levy and Co. have been unable to reach an agreement with any of the interested parties.
- Bissouma joined from Brighton in the summer of 2022
- He has started more than 20 Premier League games in just one of his three seasons at Spurs
- He has been linked with the likes of Juventus and Fenerbahce
The Mali international was excellent in Tottenham’s Europa League final triumph, but performances of that ilk have been few and far between rather than the regular occurrence that is expected at such a big club.
Spurs are unlikely to be able to recoup the entirety of the £35million fee that they paid for Bissouma three years ago, but it looks as though they will try and take any available opportunity to get him out of the door before the deadline.

Radu Dragusin
Radu Dragusin has become something of a forgotten man at Spurs, having been sidelined for several months as a result of a serious knee injury sustained back in January.
Ordinarily, the arrival of a new manager can clean the slate for every member of the squad, with the new man likely keen to get a prolonged look at every player at his disposal.
However, Frank’s arrival could work to the detriment of the Romanian in this instance.
He is likely still several months away from returning to action, and as a result, his manager will effectively have to plan without him for the foreseeable future.
That then raises the question as to whether there is even any point in Spurs keeping Dragusin around, given that he will likely have fallen even further down the defensive pecking order by the time he returns.
It would perhaps be something of a harsh decision from Levy to sell a player who is out injured, but the Tottenham chief will know that he needs to be ruthless in his decision-making this summer.
