Jamie Carragher prediction could spell bad news for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou is hanging by a thread at Tottenham, and Jamie Carragher’s latest prediction will do him no favours if they are to prove accurate.
Tottenham are struggling to impress this season and Postecoglou is under serious pressure to keep his job as a result of that.
Spurs’ FA Cup exit to Aston Villa has piled the pressure on the Australian to find success through the Europa League, with that their only remaining chance of silverware this season.
A Premier League encounter with Manchester United provides an opportunity for both managers to relieve some of the pressure on them, but Carragher’s prediction does not bode well for either.
Jamie Carragher predicts Tottenham v Manchester United
That FA Cup exit has intensified the need for a win against Man United for Postecoglou. There have been no signs of any progression and while injuries are certainly playing a factor, he may not survive another defeat.
However, Carragher’s prediction suggests more disappointment for the Australian, with a 1-1 draw forecasted against The Red Devils.
Via his Super 6 predictions, Carragher said: “Spurs and Man Utd are both in poor form. It’s hard to make a case for either, so it’s a draw.”
With both sides in dire need of a win, it promises to be an interesting clash but certainly one that Spurs need to find a way to come out on top.
Ange Postecoglou under threat at Spurs
You have to take the injuries into account to some extent when looking at the dismal season that Tottenham are enduring, but even with that considered, they aren’t hitting the standards required.

Much of that has to be put down to Postecoglou and his unwillingness to adapt to the situation and find another way to play. Ultimately that is what a manager is employed to do and yet it is something he is failing to achieve.
Postecoglou simply won’t be at Tottenham for much longer given the fact very few supporters remain on his side, with results each and every week increasing the distrust and frustration among the fanbase.
If Tottenham are to fall to yet another defeat against Man United, it could prove to be the final straw and Postecoglou would not be able to make any excuses.
A draw against an equally poor Manchester United, meanwhile, will ultimately do little to buy Postecoglou more trust among the fanbase.
