Jack Grealish signs – How Tottenham could start next season
Daniel Levy has started preparations for the summer transfer window as he looks to strengthen Tottenham in time for Champions League football next season.
Tottenham have secured a spot in the Champions League after a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final in Bilbao (21 May).
With several injuries that have hindered Spurs’ performance in the Premier League, as well as European football to look forward to, Levy knows he will need to strengthen the squad in time for the new season.
The Lilywhites have already been linked with several names that could put Tottenham in a stronger position to add to an already impressive trophy cabinet at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham could sign Jack Grealish this summer
With Spurs captain Son Heung-min achieving a feat of a lifetime at the North London club, it could be time to find someone new to occupy that left-hand side.
Grealish has dropped down the pecking order at Manchester City and is expected to depart at the end of the season.
While a move away from the Premier League could be on the cards for the winger, Champions League football at Spurs could present an attractive option.
The English international prefers to occupy the left wing and is known to cut inside onto his stronger right foot to create chances for his teammates and shoot.
As a result, he would slot in nicely beside Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson to complete a lethal front three who have an eye for goal and an enticing pass.
Postecoglou will retain several members of his midfield for the new year after strong performances this season.
However, with injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, the Australian will need another creative genius to pair beside Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr.
All signs point to Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku, who has been demoted to a peripheral role and is planning to depart this summer.
The Frenchman, who has been linked with a move to North London, can play as a forward, second striker or attacking midfielder, which will provide much-needed depth to a weakened Spurs squad.

Tottenham interested in Marc Guehi
Tottenham made a move for the defender in January, but it never materialised, with the club expected to go for him again this summer.
Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup and subsequent European football might make a deal difficult for Spurs, but the Champions League could attract Guehi to the North side of London.
Questions are still present over the future of Cristian Romero, and Guehi would be a fine addition for the Lilywhites if they try for another deal.
Premier League 2024/25 | Appearances | Minutes |
Cristian Romero | 18 | 1.420′ |
Marc Guehi | 34 | 3.060′ |
The Palace defender has made 156 clearances, 93 headed clearances and 145 recoveries in the Premier League this season, compared to Romero’s 52 clearances, 25 headed clearances and 90 recoveries [Premier League].
While Guehi has lost 116 of his duels this season, he has won 168, all while attempting more than Romero, who has won 89 with 57 lost.
More importantly, the centre-back has made 34 appearances for Palace in the Premier League this season, whereas Romero has only played 18 matches for Spurs.
As good as the defender is for Tottenham, availability remains the best ability and with Ange Postecoglou’s side looking to compete for all titles next season, the Argentine’s departure could be best for all involved.
