Igor Tudor likely fuming at Thomas Frank as behind-the-scenes footage emerges at Tottenham

Igor Tudor is clearly unhappy with the fitness levels of the Tottenham squad he inherited from Thomas Frank.

The Croatian took over from Frank in North London earlier this month, after the former Brentford boss was finally dismissed.

Just one game into his tenure at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a 4-1 defeat to arch rivals Arsenal, Tudor has realised the size of the task at hand.

Spurs sit 16th in the Premier League and are only four points clear of the relegation zone, and the interim boss has now taken action on the training pitch.

Igor Tudor forces Tottenham squad to do mini pre-season

With 11 games remaining of the Premier League season, players should be working to get through to the end of the campaign.

It has already been a gruelling seven months for the Tottenham squad, and under normal circumstances, their fitness levels should be in prime position.

However, the official Spurs account has posted a video of the players doing a running drill in training at Hotspur Way.

It’s the type of activity you would expect to see during pre-season, not at the end of February, and is indicative of where the club is currently.

Tudor evidently feels that in order to avoid Premier League relegation Tottenham need to be much fitter, and he has taken action as a result.

Why Tudor has every right to be furious with Thomas Frank

Tudor is surely less than impressed with the work of his predecessor, Frank, and this training video is the latest indication of that.

The former Juventus boss is effectively criticising Frank’s methods and hinting that the Dane was unable to get the Tottenham players at the right fitness levels to compete in the Premier League.

Tudor has also made a few backhanded comments about the former Spurs boss in press conferences, highlighting the ‘bad habits’ his players had picked after the defeat to Arsenal.

The Lilywhites travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday afternoon, and Tudor will be hoping that he has done enough during the week to secure all three points in West London.
