Fabio Paratici’s top five Tottenham signings as Daniel Levy strikes latest deal

Fabio Paratici looks set to return to Tottenham after his departure from the North London club in April 2023.

Paratici was formerly the managing director of football at Spurs before the 53-year-old was banned for 30 months from football in January 2023.

This was due to his former side, Juventus, being found guilty of false accounting.

Now, after working as a consultant, Paratici looks set to return to Tottenham officially once the transfer window closes.

As a result, Tottenham Hotspur News has looked back at the Italian five best signings at Spurs during his previous spell.

5 – Djed Spence

Signed from Middlesbrough in 2022 for £20million, Djed Spence looked to be a flop in his first years at Tottenham.

The full-back struggled to get into the first team and was subsequently loaned out to three different sides, including Leeds United.

However, in the 2024/25 campaign, the 25-year-old finally found his mojo and has completely turned his career around.

Now a regular in the starting XI, Spence has finally proved to be a hit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is likely to continue to improve.

4 – Pedro Porro

A permanent figure in the first team since signing, Pedro Porro has proved to be a vital player for Spurs since his move.

The full-back has already made over 100 appearances for Tottenham, and was vital in their Europa League victory last season.

For just £39m, the Spaniard looks to be a bargain, and could be Spurs’ full-back for years to come.

Now, Porro will be looking to continue his form under Thomas Frank and ensure that he remains a hit at the North London club.

3 – Rodrigo Bentancur

One of Tottenham’s best signings in recent years, Rodrigo Bentancur made his move to Spurs in January 2022.

Signing for just £21.5m, the fee has proved to be a bargain, with the midfielder easily one of Spurs’ best players.

As a result, Tottenham are desperate to keep hold of Bentancur this summer amid rumours that he could depart.

The Uruguayan has remained a regular under Frank, with Bentancur heavily praised for his performance in Tottenham’s victory over Manchester City last weekend.

2 – Dejan Kulusevski

Into the top two, and Dejan Kulusevski has remained one of Spurs’ main attacking outlets since joining the North London club.

So far, he has claimed 55 goal contributions in just 146 matches, proving his worth at Spurs.

While Kulusevski’s injury record at Tottenham has remained a concern, when he is on the pitch, the attacker makes stuff happen.

Hopefully, the Swede will return from the sidelines sooner rather than later.

1 – Cristian Romero

Claiming the top spot in this list is current captain Cristian Romero.

Replacing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen was no easy feat for Paratici. However, the Italian found a star when he oversaw the signing of Romero.

The centre-back has proved to be a rock in defence for Spurs, and now looks back to his best under Frank.

Romero’s recent contract extension at Spurs shows how important the defender is, and hopefully, he will continue to perform under the Dane.
