Dragusin to ‘pack Tottenham bags’ amid broad agreement for transfer after Danso

Ransu Dragusin could leave Tottenham after a broad agreement has been reached for another centre-back.

Spurs confirmed (2 February) the singing of Kevin Danso from Lens and could further bolster their backline ahead of the 3 February deadline.

Dragusin has seen his influence increase in the starting lineup over the last few weeks due to the several injury issues in defence.

Ange Postecoglou has relied on the Romanian ace but hardly did so when Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were fully fit.

The Australian manager doesn’t seem to trust the 22-year-old for the most part, and his recent performances haven’t convinced the fans either.

Moreover, his own knee injury, coupled with the arrival of Danso will be a further hindrance. And another potential deal before the deadline means it could be curtains on his career in North London.

Tottenham eye Axel Disasi transfer after Kevin Danso

The North Londoners have a broad agreement with Chelsea for Axel Disasi, according to Paul O Keefe on X (1 February).

Spurs are still considering a move for the France international despite the signing of Danso.

If the former Monaco defender were to arrive in N17, it would certainly mean the end of Dragusin at Tottenham.

The Lilywhites will have several centre-backs at their disposal, with Romero, Van de Ven and now Danso already at Postecoglou’s disposal.

Archie Gray has also emerged as an emergency defensive solution for the Australian manager, with Ben Davies capable of playing there as well.

If Disasi’s move is confirmed, Dragusin would seem surplus to requirements, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Romanian star pack his bags, perhaps in the summer window when everyone is back fit.

Dragusin was seen as a future prospect for Spurs, but his move from Genoa has turned out to be underwhelming at best.
