Levy can blow Liverpool out of water to seal Tottenham signing for next manager

Daniel Levy is set to sack Ange Postecoglou amid Tottenham’s woeful season, and will hope to enjoy a strong summer transfer window with a new manager in place.

Postecoglou appears bound for a Spurs exit, even if he guides the North Londoners to the Europa League title.

Meanwhile, Levy has set his sights on Fulham boss Marco Silva, who guided the Cottagers to a 2-0 win over Tottenham last month.

Postecoglou has led Spurs to 18 defeats in the Premier League this term, as Monday’s 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest put him under further pressure.

Liverpool want £100million Alexander Isak transfer now

Tottenham suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on 6 February.

Meanwhile, the Merseyside giants are interested in signing Newcastle hotshot Alexander Isak, who has scored 21 goals in 30 Premier League appearances this term.

Football finance expert Dan Plumley told Liverpool News that the Reds could sign Isak for £100million as Arne Slot looks to further strengthen the Premier League champions elect.

Levy could hijack Liverpool move for Isak

Tottenham have been consistently poor this season and could even finish as low as 17th in the Premier League, and this campaign is one they will never want to emulate.

With Postecoglou set to leave Spurs ahead of next campaign, Levy will be keen to hand the Australian’s successor a solid platform to build on despite this term’s woes.

Isak could be a great signing for Tottenham

The Tottenham owner could do just that by blowing Liverpool out of the water and beating the Merseyside giants to Isak’s signature with an ambitious summer swoop.

Isak is exactly the sort of player who Spurs need to get themselves back into Champions League contention, as he has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe.

Only Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has scored more goals than the Sweden international in the Premier League this season, while the Newcastle man has also proven his ability to deliver on the big stage, with a goal in last month’s Carabao Cup final.

With over £700million invested in transfers in recent years, Levy is in the perfect position to blow other clubs out of the water to bring Isak to North London.
