Daniel Levy faces ultimate egg-on-face after Antoine Semenyo transfer latest at Tottenham
Tottenham are said to be interested in signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo again, to end what has been a frustrating transfer window.
Mohammed Kudus is the only major Tottenham arrival so far, and Spurs have failed in their pursuit of several key targets.
Spurs are still interested in Savinho, but with a deal looking difficult, they are eyeing up alternative wingers, and Semenyo’s name has now emerged as an option.
Daniel Levy has been heavily criticised for his failure to strengthen in this window, and he could now face further embarrassment if Tottenham pursue the Bournemouth winger.

Tottenham hold internal talks over Antoine Semenyo
With Spurs seeking an attacking midfielder and a winger, they are running out of time to strengthen Thomas Frank’s squad.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that, within the last two days, Tottenham have held internal talks to see if a deal for Semenyo could be viable this summer.
- Semenyo started the season superbly, scoring twice away at Liverpool in Bournemouth’s 4-2 defeat at Anfield.
- The 25-year-old has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 92 matches for the Cherries.
This could see Tottenham pursue a deal in the final days of the transfer window, but Semenyo would not come cheaply, after signing a new long-term deal in recent weeks.
The winger can play on both sides and is a strong dribbler with flair and speed, but Levy should shelve all interest in him now.

Why Antoine Semenyo is unlikely to join Tottenham
Semenyo signed a new five-year contract to remain at Bournemouth in early July, with no reported release clause. This means that it would cost a huge amount to prise him away now, with limited time for Bournemouth to find a replacement.
Levy was slammed after failing to sign Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal after a long saga, and the Semenyo pursuit could also end in tears as he is a boyhood Arsenal fan like Eze.
A deal, therefore, looks highly unlikely to happen, and any bid would be a waste of time. Levy needs to move on now rather than embarrassing himself further in this window.
