Yves Bissouma ‘ridiculous’: Tottenham told to ‘sell’ star after what happened

Tottenham fans are out for blood after Ange Postecoglou’s side let their slip against Wolves on Sunday night.

While the manager himself took most of the heat at the Hotspur Stadium on 29 December, alongside Son Heung-min after missing a penalty, multiple players were highlighted for their poor displays.

Yves Bissouma is a player who is regularly criticised, having been unable to live up to expectations following his initial £25million move from Brighton in June 2022 [Sky Sports].

Supporters are clearly coming to the end of their tether with the Mali international, especially after being hooked just 64 minutes into the 2-2 draw with Vitor Pereira’s side.

One fan labelled the 28-year-old “ridiculous” while questioning his place in the team, suggesting that Spurs playing with 10 men would be more positive.

That person was not the only one aiming digs at Bissouma after the final whistle.

Spurs fans are hurting after watching their team drop more points to a team just one place above the relegation zone, a team who had lost four matches in a row before their last two games.

Supporters are out for blood, and whether that means the end of Postecoglou or players being sold in January, they will be expecting to see multiple changes next year.

Bissouma started the current campaign with a bang, scoring against Everton and West Ham, but his performances since then have been dire. It could already be the end of his Spurs career.

With Pape Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur, Spurs have more than enough talent in midfield. Add Archie Gray to the mix and there is already a suitable backup moving forward.

There is no doubt that Bissouma has the ability to be a worldbeater when playing at his best, but when that best version of himself shows very rarely, fans have every right to be angry and frustrated.

In other Tottenham news, Ange Postecoglou’s sacking could be imminent following his new comments post Wolves loss.
