Yaya Toure sends Mikey Moore message after what he has done at Tottenham

Yaya Toure has shared his delight that both Mikey Moore and Callum Oluseso are “progressing” in their careers at Tottenham.

The former Manchester City man took to Instagram on Friday (24 January) to express how happy he was to see the youngsters thriving.

Toure coached the duo during his time with Spurs’ academy with both players featuring for Ange Postecoglou’s men this season.

“I am delighted to see Mikey Moore and Callum Olusesi progressing in their careers as young players I worked with during my time at Tottenham,” Toure wrote.

“Both are great young people and very talented. I know they will keep working hard. Seeing them on the pitch together last night was great! Keep going lads.”

Mikey Moore and Callum Olusesi could become stars for Tottenham in the future

It’s undeniable that the 2024/25 season has been a difficult one for fans of Tottenham to stomach.

Spurs currently sit 15th in the Premier League table and even though they’re not involved in the relegation battle just yet, if Postecoglou can’t find a way to turn things around, they could be scrapping at the bottom of the table for the rest of the campaign.

Of course, it feels highly unlikely that Spurs would ever find themselves in the bottom three due to the amount of quality they have among their ranks but unless they get their injured players back soon, things might not get all that much better in North London.

There have been a couple of stand-out players this term with Moore’s contribution to the team at just 17 years old being particularly inspiring.

Only time will tell what the future holds but for now, it feels like things need to turn around as soon as possible.
