What’s Ange Postecoglou doing now after he was sacked by Tottenham?
Ange Postecoglou’s status as a Tottenham legend has arguably grown since he left the club.
Postecoglou produced one of the most memorable mic-drop moments in recent memory when he defied all the odds to guide Tottenham to their first European trophy in 41 years.
The Australian had boldly announced in September that he always wins something in his second season, and despite woeful league form that saw Spurs finish 17th, the 59-year-old upheld his promise.
It was ultimately not enough to keep Postecoglou in the job, as Daniel Levy decided to sack the former Celtic man exactly two years after he was appointed.
Spurs fans were split on the decision at the time. However, his legendary status is cemented, with the Lilywhites curious to see what lies ahead for the charismatic manager.

Postecoglou not short of options
Throughout all the speculation surrounding his Tottenham future, Postecoglou remained stoic, claiming that he was in a privileged position and that he would have plenty of opportunities around the corner.
Nevertheless, almost two months after leaving Spurs, the veteran coach is yet to return to management, and is still believed to be based in London after being spotted enjoying a nice outing at Wimbledon.
It has not been through a lack of options, however, as Postecoglou has garnered a lot of interest from various clubs around Europe and the US.
The strongest links have come from LAFC, as their current manager, Steve Cherundolo, is stepping down at the end of the MLS season in October.
Postecoglou was even considered by Brentford as a possible replacement for Thomas Frank, who succeeded the Athens-born manager at Tottenham, but talks were never formalised.
He is in high demand, but is seemingly in no rush to jump into the next job and is waiting for the right opportunity to follow up on his amazing, but undoubtedly exhausting, experience with Spurs.

What is the right opportunity for Postecoglou?
Postecoglou’s managerial career spans almost three decades, and he has shown that he is not afraid to take on a challenge.
He is also highly devoted to his philosophy, which focuses on a high-octane attacking style of play designed to entertain.
However, there are legitimate questions over the sustainability of Postecoglou’s methods when faced with a bloated schedule, while Tottenham’s defensive record during his tenure is far from perfect.
Any prospective club will be aware of those traits, and for it to be a happy marriage, would have to be willing to accept the flaws in favour of an exciting brand of football, which the manager would rightly argue will inevitably bring success.
