What Tottenham fans can expect on transfer deadline day – ins, outs and done deals
Tottenham could see a couple of surprise moves in the market before the window closes.
Tottenham continued their Premier League campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at home on Saturday afternoon.
Xavi Simons’ presentation in front of the Tottenham fans softened the blow, but Daniel Levy will be anticipating movement in the market ahead of the 7 pm BST deadline on Monday.
With that in mind, Tottenham News has compiled a list of what Spurs supporters can expect on deadline day, with strong changes set to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Done deals
Tottenham signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham for £55million is in contention for one of the best bits of business of the transfer window.
Simons’ arrival has helped to soften the blow of Spurs losing Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, while Bayern Munich loanee Joao Palhinha is already forming a formidable partnership with Rodrygo Bentancur.
Player | Fee |
Xavi Simons | £51.8m |
Mohammed Kudus | £55m |
Mathys Tel | £30m |
Kevin Danso | £20.9m |
Luka Vuskovic | £12m |
Kota Takai | £5m |
Joao Palhinha | £4.3m (loan fee) |
Luka Vuskovic arrived from Hajduk Split after a two-year wait and began showing world-class signs during pre-season. But Tottenham loaned Vuskovic out to Hamburg to gain a little more experience.
Spurs made Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel permanent signings earlier in the summer, although they have struggled for gametime under Thomas Frank.
Kota Takai is still recovering from injuries, but Tottenham fans can breathe a sigh of relief that most of their new signings look to be sound investments.

Ins – Manuel Akanji and Ademola Lookman
Tottenham are leading the race to sign Manuel Akanji from Manchester City as they look to add another centre-back to their roster.
AC Milan are also in the race to sign the defender, but Akanji has struggled to agree on personal terms with the Italian giants.
Ademola Lookman is a wildcard Levy could play before deadline day. The Lilywhites are looking for another attacker with Dominic Solanke sidelined for Frank due to an ankle injury.
- Lookman played for both Charlton Athletic and Everton before moving to RB Leipzig
- The forward is best remembered for scoring a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final in 2023
- Lookman is best positioned as a second striker, but can also play on the wing
However, several clubs, including Bayern Munich, are interested in the forward. Atalanta have been widely reported to want a permanent or loan move with a guaranteed option to buy.
Meanwhile, a move for Monaco winger Maghnes Akilouche cannot be ruled out. The young star received his first senior call-up by Didier Deschamps earlier this month and is set to reach new heights in the coming years.
As such, Tottenham are set to sign a centre-back and attacker before the market closes for another few months.

Outs – Yves Bissouma and Dane Scarlett
Yves Bissouma has been linked with a Tottenham exit since the summer began.
Injuries, discipline and poor form have kept him from reaching his full potential since signing from Brighton in 2022.
Bissouma was close to leaving Spurs for Galatasaray, but the deal has since fallen through. However, with the arrival of Simons, this is one to keep an eye on before the end of the summer.
Dane Scarlett is likely to leave Tottenham on loan between now and the end of the season. This comes after Spurs organised a loan at Oxford United last season for Scarlett, which was mediocre.
With Tottenham sending Mikey Moore on loan to Rangers and Yang Min-Hyeok on loan at Portsmouth, Scarlett would be one of the last youngsters to leave Hotspur Way.
Manor Solomon has also been linked with an exit and could return to Leeds United on a permanent move before the deadline.
