Wayne Rooney reacts to Tottenham controversy v Fulham as BBC footage emerges
Tottenham could not maintain their Europa League momentum and fell crashing back down to earth with a 2-0 defeat against Fulham on Sunday.
Goals from Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon at Craven Cottage condemned Tottenham to another Premier League defeat, with fans turning again.
The game could have been changed at 1-0 though, when Lucas Bergvall appeared to be fouled by Calvin Bassey in the box.

Wayne Rooney makes call on penalty decision
Although it was a fairly even game in terms of possession and shots, Fulham looked more assured than Tottenham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Despite securing victory against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, having come from behind to progress to the quarter-finals, the Lilywhites failed to replicate those levels on Sunday.
Bergvall tried to go around Bassey while one goal behind, but fell to ground after trying to regain possession, with appeals waved away.
When asked for his thoughts on the challenge on Match of the Day 2 (16 March), Wayne Rooney admitted he was on the referee’s side, saying: “I don’t think it’s a penalty.
“It’s really good skill kicking it one side, going the other. I haven’t seen that for years from players, but I think it just doesn’t get the ball far enough out of his foot and I don’t think there’s enough in it to give a penalty.
“So I think it’s probably the right call.”

Ange Postecoglou feeling the pressure again
There have been questions over Ange Postecoglou’s role as manager for some time now, this season but so far, injuries have been a fair excuse while progression in the Europa League has left some criticism at the door.
However, after the defeat against Fulham, surely the doubts will be flooding back in North London, especially with an increased number of players fit again but Tottenham seemingly unable to show signs of improvement.

At this point, it does seem the Europa League is what is keeping the Australian employed but even if Tottenham do win that, there have to be serious considerations about whether that is enough given the expectations at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Postecoglou’s side sit 14th in the Premier League table and whether the boss will be able to make any real change is starting to look a lot more doubtful.
Whether Daniel Levy would consider making a managerial change at this point of the season is yet to be seen, but time may be running out for the boss.
Fans are fed up with the Europa League or nothing narrative, already.
