Vicario slammed by Dion Dublin as Wolves v Tottenham footage emerges on MOTD2
Guglielmo Vicario didn’t do himself any favours with Dion Dublin as Tottenham fell to defeat against Wolves on Sunday.
The Lilywhites travelled to Molineux on 13 April and suffered a 4-2 loss in yet another dismal performance from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Despite goals from Mathys Tel and Richarllison, the Old Gold were able to secure all three points with ease as Spurs pushed the self-destruct button.
It was the Italian keeper who caught the attention of Dublin, who was left raging by what he saw in the defeat in the Black Country.

Dublin fumes at Vicario in Wolves defeat
The 28-year-old has been typically reliable since returning from a long-term injury issue in North London but failed to show that in the Midlands.
It was huge when the ex-Sassuolo man came back in to replace Antonin Kinsky, but he ultimately went on to cost his side against Vitor Pereira’s men.
This saw him push a loose ball back into the box, which cannoned off Djed Spence and into the back of the net to give the home side a 2-0 lead after 38 minutes.
Unfortunately for the Italian, this summed up his performance as the Lilywhites fell to their 17th Premier League defeat of the campaign.
Dublin was far from impressed with the shot-stopper at Molineux as he left a scathing review of his performance on Match of the Day 2 (13 April).
He said: “Spurs made it very easy for them, their defending was incredibly poor. Some of the decisions, I have no idea what Vicario is doing there, just clear the ball, give your teammates a chance to get up the pitch.
“The own goal was so poor. There’s no communication, the goalkeeper’s not said anything, he should grab that ball and take it in.”

Vicario must improve for Tottenham after Wolves gaffe
The keeper has had multiple moments of madness since signing in North London in 2023 but has also been able to showcase his talents at times.
It is fair to say that Vicario was off the boil against Wolves and ultimately cost his side in what was a generally poor performance all around.

Even Spence and Lucas Bergvall were far from their best as Postecoglou was let down once again as his future becomes less certain every week.
It will be interesting to see how the Spurs’ number one will be able to bounce back ahead of a clash against Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday (17 April).
