Tottenham v Manchester United: £300m claim emerges post Europa League final win
Tottenham won their first trophy since 2008, beating Manchester United in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
Brennan Johnson scored the game’s only goal to ensure Spurs lifted the trophy, winning 1-0.
It was vindication for Ange Postecoglou, who has been under pressure this season with his side sitting in 17th place.

Ian Abrahams believes Ruben Amorim needs £300m for United rebuild
Questions were bound to be asked of the losing manager from Wednesday’s final, and it was Ruben Amorim who is the man under more pressure now.
While it’s understood that United are sticking with him, he does have a big summer rebuild ahead of him.

Postecoglou’s future is also not assured, but he’s certainly proven that he can deliver silverware and that will play a huge part in the end-of-season review.
For Amorim, talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams believes that it will require spending to the tune of £300million this summer.
The Portuguese manager was brought in by INEOS as their guy and they will need to back him as he’s keen on playing a different style of football.

Tottenham also have an important summer ahead
Tottenham’s Europa League victory masks a busy summer ahead due to ongoing squad and tactical challenges.
Postecoglou’s high-pressing system, while successful in Europe, has exposed defensive frailties and inconsistent Premier League form.
Key areas need reinforcement, particularly in defence and midfield, to address depth issues and injury concerns.
Tottenham must also navigate potential departures of key players, with contracts nearing expiration and interest from rivals.
Postecoglou’s rigid tactics require versatile signings to ensure adaptability against top teams.
With heightened expectations post-Europa, the board faces pressure to back the manager with significant investment, making strategic recruitment and squad overhaul critical for sustained success.
