Tottenham v Eintracht Frankfurt result predicted by supercomputer
Tottenham are looking to secure a lead in their Europa League quarter-final first leg when they face Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
The two teams will meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg of the competition, with this being Spurs’ first European quarter-final since the 2018-19 season.
Tottenham head into the game with some momentum after a much-needed 3-1 win against Southampton on Sunday (7 April).
A Brennan Johnson brace and a Mathys Tel penalty relegated the Saints from the Premier League while getting Ange Postecoglou’s team back to winning ways after consecutive defeats without scoring a goal.

Tottenham want an advantage for the second leg
While it would take a monumental result for either side to put the entire tie to bed on Thursday, both teams will head to London to give themselves the advantage before the second leg.
Given that Postecoglou’s men are playing at home first, they will be pushing to try and make the most of that by securing a win, and according to the Opta supercomputer, that is the most likely outcome.
Tottenham have a 52.3 per cent chance of winning the game, with the home advantage likely playing a significant role in that.
Europa League Rounds | Potential Opponents |
Quarter-Finals | Eintracht Frankfurt |
Semi-Finals | Bodo/Glimt or Lazio |
Final | Man United, Rangers, Lyon, or Atletico Bilbao |
The visitors have a 23.5 per cent chance of taking a victory back with them, while there is a 24.3 per cent chance of the game ending in a draw.

Ange Postecoglou is fighting for his job
Tottenham’s Europa League campaign could have a lot more on the line than simply giving Spurs fans something to shout about positively for a change.
Not only would winning the trophy be a way of rescuing their season, it could also save Postecoglou’s job at the Lilywhites as he’s under severe pressure at Spurs right now from fans.
Supporters have grown frustrated with their team’s performances and what Postecoglou is getting out of the group at the moment.
Daniel Levy set him the task of securing a European football for next season, and at this stage, the only way of him achieving that would be via winning this competition.
