Tottenham transfer round-up: ‘Shock’ late signing lined up, Spurs hijack deal

Ange Postecoglou remains in desperate need of reinforcements at Tottenham.

Daniel Levy’s personal involvement in the signing of Antonín Kinský might have had some supporters hopeful that the winter transfer window would be a busy one for Spurs.

However, since the goalkeeper’s arrival, no new players have been brought in, with frustration building toward Levy and ENIC.

There is still time for things to change with a host of players being linked with a move to Spurs.

Tottenham News rounds up all the latest transfer news from Friday 24 January.

Brighton hold talks over Tottenham target Evan Ferguson

According to the Daily Mail (24 January, page 77), Brighton have held talks over where the future of striker Evan Ferguson lies.

However, if the Irishman is allowed to leave in the winter transfer window, it would only be a loan deal.

Spurs, as well as Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham, have all shown an interest in the 20-year-old.

Tottenham remain in the race for Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling

As reported by Florian Plettenberg via X (24 January), RB Leipzig will continue to do everything possible to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton.

The 18-year-old is thought to be open to a move to Germany.

However, Tottenham are still in the race, with Plettenberg reporting that the North London club remain in “concrete talks” with Dibling’s management.

Tottenham pushing for “shock” late signing

According to Football Insider (24 January), Tottenham are pushing to sign a new forward before 3 February.

Pete O’Rourke has suggested that the club’s targets for the final weeks of the winter transfer window seem “very strange” considering the number of defenders currently sidelined with injuries in North London.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano (24 January), Tottenham have asked for the conditions of a deal for Ajax forward Bryan Brobbey.
