Tottenham ‘to move quick’ in brand new Ange Postecoglou sack update
Tottenham “remain intent” on helping Ange Postecolou after deciding not to sack him, according to Alasdair Gold.
The football.london journalist revealed on his personal X account (20 January) that Spurs will not fire the Australian manager after the 3-2 defeat to Everton on Sunday (19 January).
Gold believes the North London outfit need to move “far more quickly” to bolster their injury-hit squad in the winter transfer window as they look to back Postecoglou.
The Lilywhites are 15th in the Premier League as the season went from bad to worse at Goodison Park.
Ange Postecoglou under sack pressure at Tottenham
Postecoglou will undoubtedly be under immense pressure from the Spurs faithful to turn things around sooner rather than later.
While Daniel Levy and the rest of the board might support the Australian, the fans are losing patience with him.
The former Celtic head coach can argue that there have been multiple fitness issues in the squad this season, but that doesn’t excuse the manner of defeat against David Moyes’ team.
Tottenham embarrassed themselves by losing to a team that has sacked their manager recently and are fighting for survival.
If Levy indeed wants Postecoglou to stay, he must spend money to add reinforcements before the 3 February deadline.

If things worsen, it would not be surprising to see Spurs getting dragged into a relegation battle.
The Lilywhites are yet to address the lack of depth in defence, which has arguably played a key role in the downturn of fortunes in N17.
Will Postecoglou manage to survive the season? The coming weeks will be crucial to determine that.
