Tottenham ‘to leave Postecoglou behind’ in magnificent new developments
Tottenham are resting all their hopes for success in the Europa League this season, having drastically fallen in the Premier League table.
The Lilywhites sit 16th in the league, having lost 18 of their 33 games throughout the campaign, leaving major questions over Ange Postecoglou’s future.
However, with a Europa League semi-final ahead in which Spurs have to see off Bodo/Glimt to reach the final, decisions have to be made by Daniel Levy.

Tottenham backed for brighter days
Victory in the Europa League for Tottenham this season is absolutely crucial, and it will undoubtedly shape their summer transfer window.
Should Spurs come out on top, it will secure another season of Champions League football, which increases the quality of players they are able to target ahead of the new campaign.
However, if the Lilywhites are not successful in their aims, a failed European campaign alongside a near-relegation zone finish is not a good sell for the North London outfit.
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost |

As a result of this, there have been questions over whether a trophy would be enough to save Postecoglou from the chop, given he would have achieved his aims of bringing a trophy to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in his second season with the club.
Discussing the topic live on talkSPORT (23 April, 12:43), Danny Murphy was blunt in his analysis that it would not be enough to warrant a longer stay at Spurs.
Jim White went on to question him on whether it was the boss or Tottenham who have a brighter future without the other one and Murphy was confident in his answer, regardless of the appointment as he said: “Tottenham. Got some brilliant young players.
“Yeah. Got some really good young players they can develop. They’ll always have a few quid to spend in the market, brilliant stadium, training ground is magnificent, easy sell for players.
“Tottenham will do that. Well, there’s only one way now, isn’t there?”
Tottenham need serious change
It’s extremely hard to see Postecoglou staying at Tottenham past the end of this campaign, regardless of whether he achieves a trophy win or not.
This is because of reports that he has lost the dressing room, falling out with key players like James Maddison, which suggests that the cracks can’t be papered over.
That being said, Levy needs a serious wake-up call if he thinks it will just take a change in manager to change the state of things in North London next season, because that is simply not the case either.
As Murphy points out, the Lilywhites have plenty of exciting and high-class features which should make them an attractive asset for a potential player.
This needs to be mirrored on the pitch with a boss that talent will want to play for, but it is then over to Levy to show he can invest in Tottenham when it really matters.
