Tottenham star Brennan Johnson sends message as season-ending injury news emerges
Brennan Johnson reacted via social media after news emerged of a season-ending injury away from Tottenham.
According to The Times journalist Paul Joyce [30 January], Orel Mangala, who is on loan at Everton, will miss the rest of the season and will likely be sidelined for up to eight months with an ACL injury.
Following the horrendous update at Goodison Park, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to share his upset and thank fans for their kind words, to which Johnson has now joined.
Writing via Instagram [30 January], the Welshman simply replied with a fist emoji, with goalkeeper Joao Virginia commenting: “Let’s go Mango. You are going to be back stronger.”

Having played together briefly during their time at Nottingham Forest, this injury will hit home for Johnson, who is also sidelined with his respective injury since the North London derby.
The 23-year-old has missed the 3-2 defeat to the Toffees, the 3-2 victory against Hoffenheim, and the shock 2-1 defeat to Leicester City, with Ange Postecoglou surely missing his attacking prowess recently.
Injuries have plagued Spurs’s campaign so far, with Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies and Micky van de Ven being sidelined for long periods, albeit the latter duo have returned.
Postecoglou and Johnson will absolutely feel for David Moyes and the injured star, but with the Toffees just one point behind the Lilywhites in the Premier League table, there might be a shred of relief.

Mangala has been an incredible player for the Toffees this season, so for him to be sidelined for between six and eight months, comes as a huge blow to Moyes and his team.
Postecoglou will be worrying about his own injury problems at Hotspur Way, though there has been little activity in the winter transfer window to help alleviate some of these struggles.
It’s been a frustrating window for Spurs supporters.
In other Tottenham news, the Lilywhites have agreed a blockbuster deal to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.
