Redknapp called out after what he just said about Tottenham on Sky Sports
Tottenham are coming to the end of a dismal Premier League campaign and slipped to 15th after Everton beat Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Ange Postecoglou has consistently been under pressure this season, while the North London Club have already set their sights on potential replacements.
Postecoglou’s men are still battling to win the Europa League, after reaching the quarter-finals.
However, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Frankfurt in North London on Thursday in the first leg and face the Bundesliga side on away soil next week.

Jamie Redknapp accused of picking on Tottenham
Speaking live on Sky Sports Premier League’s Saturday Night Football [12 April], Jamie Redknapp picked out Spurs when asked which game Liverpool could win the title by.
He said: “It would be great if they could do it when [or] if they beat Tottenham on the 27th as an example.”
David Jones jokingly called out Redknapp, saying: “Why are you picking on Tottenham?”
Spurs must beat Wolves on Sunday
Tottenham are rightfully prioritising their Europa League run, as the European competition presents Postecoglou and Co with their only opportunity to lift silverware this term.
It also guarantees admission to the Champions League.
Opponent | Result |
Fulham (A) | 2-0 L |
Chelsea (A) | 1-0 L |
Southampton (H) | 3-1 W |
Frankfurt (H) | 1-1 D |
However, when they slipped to 15th in the Premier League after Everton’s win at Nottingham Forest, Spurs were provided with yet another reminder of how woeful their top-flight season has been so far.
At the start of the season, Tottenham hoped to mount a serious challenge for the Champions League spots after narrowly missing out on the top four last term.
However, with just seven Premier League games remaining, it now appears as though Postecoglou’s men are no longer capable of even landing a top-half spot.
Spurs fans are understandably miserable with their domestic progress this term, so the North London club must beat Wolves on Sunday to lift spirits.
Postecoglou and Co could even slip to 16th on Sunday if they lose at Wolves and London rivals West Ham manage to beat out-of-form league leaders Liverpool.
What a shocking year.
