Tottenham player speaks out on Postecoglou in new interview as sack claim made
Djed Spence has spoken out on Ange Postecoglou, saying he enjoys playing under the Tottenham manager.
The Spurs head coach has come under pressure in North London this campaign after a string of frustrating results culminated in a 2-2 draw against Wolves.
Despite annoyance from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful, the 24-year-old has spoken out in support of his manager on talkSPORT (3 January, 6:52pm).
In an interview with Darren Bent, Spence said: “I enjoy it. It’s exciting, attacking football. The boys love it as well, so it’s good.
“We’ve just got to take it step-by-step, win games, get into the European positions or win a trophy.”
Spence’s comments come shortly after Bent had himself made a sack claim regarding Postecoglou.
Djed Spence shares Ange Postecoglou support at Tottenham
The versatile right-back has spoken to the ex-Lilywhites forward, who has urged fans to stick by the Aussie manager, and revealed a useful insight into the dressing room in N17.
Given that the ex-Nottingham Forest loanee has struggled for regular game time since moving to Spurs, he would have every reason to voice his frustrations with the manager.
That hasn’t been the case and in this interview has proved that his mentality is there, which could make him an excellent regular in North London.
If Spence is behind the Australian then there is every reason to believe that the rest of his teammates are in a similar mindset and that can only be a positive.

This sort of attitude is going to play a major factor if Postecoglou wants to turn the tide and get back to winning ways and secure a finish higher up the Premier League table.
With a European place or a trophy mooted by the defender, exciting times could be ahead in the capital.
