Tottenham player calls out fan on social media after what he said

Tyrese Hall shut down a Tottenham supporter on social media in response to a claim about the midfielder.

Spurs are looking to sanction a loan exit for the 19-year-old in the winter transfer window [Sky Sports], with plenty of interest emerging in his services and Championship outfit Stoke City leading the race.

Amid that speculation, a supporter took to X [27 January] to share his verdict on Hall’s lack of first-team involvement at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leading to the player to directly correct the fan’s claim that he is 5ft 6in.

He said: “[I’m] not 5ft 6in by the way.”

Tottenham should find a loan move for Tyrese Hall

Hall has been left behind in North London despite featuring heavily in Ange Postecoglou’s pre-season preparations.

His Under-21s teammates have either gone on to make their first-team bows this year or been allowed the opportunity to leave on loan to continue their development.

The England Under-19s international has not been granted either courtesy, and he should be rightfully irate with Postecoglou and fighting to salvage the remaining opportunities for senior football this season.

Although there is an ongoing injury crisis in North London and senior stars such as Pape Matar Sarr are clearly struggling with an intense workload, the boss refuses to give the academy opportunities to ease the crisis.

Hall is highly rated at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but clearly not enough to warrant minutes in the first team, and his promising career should not be at risk of stalling due to Postecoglou’s stubbornness.

He shouldn’t feel the need to defend himself on social media with supporters knowing little about their young talent.

For the record, Hall is 5ft 10in tall.
