Tottenham owners set to make change as Ange Postecoglou sack decision made

Tottenham have given Ange Postecoglou their vote of confidence and opted against sacking him post the Arsenal loss, according to Football London.

The news outlet reported on 16 January that the owners are looking to make changes and put in the right structures and people around him to help him thrive.

Spurs struggled against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and lost 2-1, as they currently sit in 13th place after 21 games.

Ange Postecoglou is getting an extended stay at Tottenham due to the Carabao Cup

Had Spurs not already had a foot in the Carabao Cup final, after taking a 1-0 lead against Liverpool in the first leg, Postecoglou possibly would’ve been sacked.

Daniel Levy is not known to be a patient manager as he showed with Mauricio Pochettino and Nuno Espirito Santo.

Despite guiding them to the Champions League final in the previous season, Levy sacked the Argentine a few months into the new season.

His side were undoubtedly in a better place overall than Postecoglou’s and Nuno also got just 10 games before Levy parted ways with him.

Postecoglou’s style of football is exciting but this is a results business and he’s not getting them.

Being 13th with more than half the season over is an awful place to be in and a loss against Liverpool and another bad league result could see things turn sour.

In other Tottenham news, an update has emerged on Julian Nagelsmann as the hierarchy have made a sack decision on Ange Postecoglou.
