Tottenham next manager: Iraola odds slashed after Postecoglou exit bombshell
Andoni Iraola continues to be linked with the Tottenham job as pressure mounts on Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian is under intense scrutiny at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has done himself no favours lately after arguing with supporters after the 2-0 loss to Fulham (16 March).
Postecoglou’s only chance of saving his job is to win the Europa League and even that may not be enough to save him given the dismal season that the Lilywhtes have endured.

Iraola could replace Postecoglou at Tottenham
Tottenham have already lined up Iraola and Marco Silva if Postecoglou is dismissed from his post before the end of the season.
If he suffers defeat in the Europa League quarter-finals against Eintracht Frankfurt, he will be sacked, according to a report from The Sun’s print edition (18 March, page 46).
Given the intense scrutiny on his position and the increasing reputation of the Bournemouth manager, it is no surprise that he is considered the favourite to take over in North London.
The Spaniard is just 2/1 to replace the Australian with Bet Victor, a significant shift from odds of 11/2 in January.

Tottenham need to make Postecoglou decision
Whether he decides to sack the former Celtic man or not, Daniel Levy needs to make a decision in the near future.
While he has been the victim of a brutal injury crisis this season, Postecoglou has exacerbated it with his intense training methods and failure to adapt his tactical approach.
Stats (Premier League 2024/25) | Postecoglou | Iraola |
Wins | 10 | 13 |
Draws | 4 | 8 |
Losses | 14 | 9 |
Points | 34 | 47 |
Points per match | 1.21 | 1.57 |
If they are to replace him, Iraola would be the standout contender but he is also attracting interest from Real Madrid to take over from Carlo Ancelotti.
Therefore, Spurs need to act quickly if he is the man that they want to have at the helm rather than the Australian.
The Cherries manager has enjoyed a stunning rise to stardom, and the South Coast outfit are desperate to tie him down to a new deal, so it makes Tottenham’s decision even more urgent.
Iraola has his side on the verge of European football next season, while the Lilywhites sit in 14th place with no chance of qualification through their league position after an embarrassing campaign but whether he could replicate that in N17 remains to be seen.
