Tottenham next manager: Ex-Everton boss emerges as shock contender as odds crash
Tottenham could appoint a former Everton manager if they sack Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian is clinging on to his spot in the dugout after a dismal domestic season that has seen Spurs eliminated from both domestic cups.
The Lilywhites sit in 14th place in the Premier League and the pressure continues to rise on the former Celtic man.
The only chance of success for the North London outfit is the Europa League and even that might not save Postecoglou.

Sean Dyche could be set to take over at Tottenham
If Daniel Levy takes the decision to sack Postecoglou before the end of the season, former Everton boss Sean Dyche could be the replacement.
The former Burnley man was a 33/1 outsider with Bet Victor back in January and while he is still at the same odds with that particular bookmaker, others have reduced their odds.
Dyche is now rated at 16/1 with Bet 365 [Oddschecker] to be the next manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino is still the favourite at 10/3, with Andoni Iraola, Thomas Frank, and Marco Silva all ranked at 11/2.

Dyche would be the wrong choice for Tottenham
If Tottenham did take the surprising decision to hire Dyche, it would be a huge mistake given his disastrous campaign at Goodison Park this season.
The Englishman was finally sacked in January after winning just 28 per cent of his matches in charge of the Blues and would not be the right fit for Spurs.
Stats (Premier League) | Dyche | Postecoglou |
Wins | 3 | 10 |
Draws | 8 | 4 |
Losses | 8 | 15 |
Points | 17 | 34 |
Points per match | 0.89 | 1.17 |
For starters, supporters would lose their minds if it happened, and he would be unlikely to get a tune out of the playing squad, given his struggles on Merseyside.
Dyche’s side struggled to score goals and even lacked the defensive solidity that he is known for in a miserable last few months at the Toffees and his appointment would cause further protest in North London.
Levy would experience an even bigger backlash than what he is currently facing if he was to hire Dyche, it is crucial that he gets the decision on the next manager right, for his future and for the club’s.
